This was an adorable family portrait session in the Bend Oregon area at the breathtaking Smith Rock State Park.
My photography website, Instagram, and Facebook all include a lot of black and white imagery. I always provide both colors as well as black and white for each photography job. However, every once in awhile I’ll post a full blog just with a full portrait session in black and white.
Why do I like black and white photography?
Great question, what I love about black and white photography is the clean, timeless, photojournalistic, and raw appeal that black and white imagery offers. Furthermore, black and white images look fabulous with just about any decor in a home. An arrangement of gallery-style
frames on a large wall of solid black and white will give a classic art gallery feel.
Here is a prime example, a mother-daughter portrait session captured in Central Oregon at the breathtaking Smith Rock State Park. There are many candid moments that would look beautiful on any wall to tell a story. A story of a mother and the relationship between her two small children. The sweet gentle touches and little special moments, the bond between a mother and her children captured timelessly. Preserved in black and white.
Here are some other family portraits photographed at Smith Rock that are in color:
Gallery wall frames
I recommend Restoration Hardware, they have a wide variety of Gallery Wall frames that would be perfect for a session like this one!
