Fall is a fabulous time of the year to have family portraits taken at Smith Rock in Central Oregon. The weather is mild and the color and light are dreamy! I had a blast working with this adorable family while they were on vacation in Central Oregon from back east. This beautiful momma knew exactly how to bring out all the joy and laughter in her children. A fellow professional photographer herself she had all the tricks!
Looking for the perfect outfit combination for family portraits? This is a great example. Four main primary colors navy blue, maroon, gold, and ivory. With a few little pops of pattern for texture, such as the little boy’s polka dot bow tie and the father’s pattern on his dress shirt and a patterned shirt for the kiddos. All colors intermix which provides for nice coordinating colors yet showing variety which complement each outfit nicely. These colors worked really well for the fall portrait session as well as popped nicely against the color tones of the scenery and lighting.
