This particular Sparks Lake wedding elopement in Central Oregon was stunning. The weather can be a little unpredictable during the fall months around the Cascade mountains.
The snow flurries and beautiful light provided a nice back drop for this wedding elopement at Sparks Lake.

Father / Daughter first looks are always priceless…
After the wedding party was dressed and ready, they all piled into a bus and headed out to Sparks Lake for the wedding ceremony.
I mean it’s been a crazy year right? I can’t wait for the day that these masks are no longer needed. But for now, it’s all part of the story, right? Most important, despite the craziness of the 2020 happenings, it brings so much joy to my heart to see that some of my clients were able to hold true to their wedding dreams and found a way to “tie the knot” with an elopement micro-style wedding. And there is no better place to do that than Sparks Lake in beautiful Central Oregon.
Just as this sweet couple started to say their personal vows it started to snow, which made everything so magical!
Immediately following the wedding ceremony guests enjoyed a Worthy Beer from a local Bend, Oregon brewery and toasts.
After beer toasts and pictures on the beach the wedding guests piled into the bus and headed back to the Sunriver Resort. The groom took some private time on the beach to play a special song for his wife. It was such an emotional, intimate, romantic beautiful moment to capture.
Snow wasn’t in the weather forecast, so the plan was to have an intimate casual pizza and beer type dinner out on the back deck of the rental home at Sunriver Resort. But, mother nature had other plans. When the wedding guests arrived back at Sunriver Resort from the wedding ceremony at Sparks Lake, everyone was greeted with a dusting of snow. Being the adventurous spirits that the bride and groom are, they decided “the heck with it” let’s eat our pizza in the snow. And that’s exactly what they all did!
This was such an awesome gift that the bride and groom gave each other. Custom wedding albums and cover with all their meaningful songs that reflect their relationship. Of course, I love seeing the epic engagement session we captured at Sparks Lake on the album dust cover as well. Here is the full blog post of their Sparks Lake winter engagement session
