Sparks Lake is a favorite of many photographers across Central Oregon, so making sure you have a parking permit to secure your spot is essential. Don’t forget the bug spray, mosquitoes can be out during the summer months.
The Cascade Lakes Highway is open from the middle of May to late October, the winter season brings with it snow – which means the highway closes after October until May.
