I’m thrilled to announce that I have just opened a Lifestyle Newborn Photography Studio in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Inspired by light, and timeless warm earthy tones which come from my love for nature and all things organic.
Welcoming a newborn into your family is one of the most special moments in life. As a parent of three beautiful children, a smitten grandmother of a toddler, and a professional photographer of 22 years, I know how vital it is to preserve these memories.
However, capturing those precious moments can be stressful, especially when you are trying to find the right time, location and wardrobe for your newborn all the while you are trying to adjust to a life-changing moment.
In this blog, I will talk about why I chose to open a lifestyle newborn studio here in Bend, Oregon and the benefits it offers for new parents who want to capture these moments.
What I’ve experience over the last few years is that many new parents have worries about having newborn photos taken in their home. They are concerned about the lighting in their home, and whether their home esthetics and surroundings are adequate for a newborn photo shoot.
The advantage of my lifestyle newborn studio:
In my photography studio natural light is used to create stunning portraits that highlight your little one’s beauty. With optimal light and a beautifully furnished environment, you and your newborn baby will look even more angelic, and the images will be timeless. You will not have to worry about making sure your home is perfect and clean right after bringing your brand new baby home from the hospital.
The wardrobe is another aspect that new parents worry about when it comes to newborn photography. My lifestyle newborn studio provides a full newborn client closet with many clothing options for your newborn baby. From delicate knitted cozy outfits, linen rompers, soft cotton dresses, handmade baby blankets, beanies, bonnets and headbands. (Many of the beanies, bonnets, booties and blankets I made myself from local and ethically sourced alpaca and cashmere)
My photography studio wardrobe provides something for all tastes and for both genders. However, you are always welcome to bring your own items as well.
Apart from the lighting and wardrobe, there’s another significant advantage of visiting my lifestyle newborn photography studio.
I have everything ready and prepared for you; there’s no need to prepare your home for the shoot. You don’t have to worry about clearing the clutter in the background or ensuring everything is spotless.
Instead, you can come to my studio, and enjoy the experience of creating memories with your new bundle of joy in a modern and cozy environment.
I have many additional items that can be very helpful for the comfort of your newborn baby while in my studio from a white noise machine, speaker for baby lullaby’s, babyshusher “the sleep miracle” machine, lulla-vibe, bottle warmer and more.
In addition we offer a gorgeous bathtub setting for lovely milk bath photos or any other type of bathtub shots that you may desire.
Do you want to include your partner and additional children within the newborn photo shoot? Please do, we have room for everyone.
Do you have toddlers? Not to worry, bring them! Not only should they be included in some of the photos, my studio is safe and child proof and equip with snacks for the toddlers (if parent approved of course), toddler iPad for games and movies, and even toys to keep the little ones occupied when they are not in front of the camera so that parents and newborn can have a relaxed and stress free experience in the studio.
I have ALL of the things! I got you covered. 😉
My newborn photography style is a “baby lead” photo session. I do not remove the baby from their parents. And I do not put your newborn baby in any unsafe unnatural poses. I offer a natural newborn photo shoot. My goal is to capture the true beauty and intimate connection between you and the new life you have created and brought into the world.
It is ideal to booked your newborn session within the first 10 days from returning home from the hospital.
Please reach out with any questions, I’m here to help!
