Photography has given me so much— not only a way to provide for my family, but a deeper purpose I hold close to my heart: using my craft to give back when I can, where it matters most.

Each year, I intentionally set aside time to pay it forward—offering my services to causes I deeply believe in. This year, I had the absolute honor of donating my photography SERVICES to support the work of Mirror Ministries.

Their mission is both powerful and vital: to see local survivors of sex trafficking become survivors who have hope, healing, and restoration. CONTRIBUTING TO JUST a small part of THIS cause was humbling and profoundly meaningful.

I believe that when you’ve been given a gift, it’s your responsibility to use it—not just for yourself, but for others. And when that gift can serve something as important as this? You show up.

To all the survivors, advocates, and those doing the quiet, hard work behind the scenes—you are seen, valued, and supported. 🤍

It feels so good to be back on the road doing travel work again. I had taken a bit of a break from it, but getting back in the saddle reminded me just how grounding and fulfilling it truly is. This trip has been an absolute blast — I have the joy of photographing three amazing families I’ve had the honor of working with in the past. It’s always such a gift to catch up, see how everyone’s grown, and capture more beautiful memories together. My heart is full. Also the wild flowers along the northern Oregon coast are AMAZING right now!!!! Instead of hotels we chose to camp.... found some real gems off the beaten path. Dogs are so happy and exhausted. I think I might do more of this again forgot how much I miss my travel work camping just makes it all the more fulfilling. 🤣♥️🌊📸✨

Some people say the classic, everyone-looking-at-the-camera portrait is outdated—but it’s not.

There is always value in a beautiful image where everyone is looking straight at the camera. It shows your faces. Your features. Your family legacy.

You get to see where your children’s features come from—your parents, your grandparents. You get to see each person. That kind of photo matters.

Yes, I love capturing candid moments full of movement and emotion. I believe in variety, and I always include both. But if I can, I will always, always provide that timeless portrait first.

Because it’s the one that gets framed.
The one that generations will hold onto.
The one that will never go out of style. The one that parents and grandparents love.

And everyone who books with me wants that photo—because it’s important. Because it lasts. Because it’s family.
