Your outfits are important for the outcome of the photoshoot. You will want the clothing choices to reflect your individual style, however not be a distraction in your photos taking away the focus on you, and your family love story. Most importantly you will want your outfits to stand out from the backdrop not blend into too much. We don’t want you to become camouflaged within the landscape.
In this blog post I’ll provide some examples and tips to get some inspiration for the planning of your outfits. With these tips I’m sure you’ll get the best out of your photoshoot.

Tips for choosing your outfits:
Choose outfits that complement, but don’t match exactly.
Choose some textures over to many conflicting patterns.
Avoid bright colors, texts, logos and striking prints.
Take care of your hands and nails, pamper yourself prior to your shoot with a mani and pedi.
Wear nude colored underwear.
Make sure your babies have a “diaper cover” also known as bloomers, or tights if they are wearing dresses.
Don’t be afraid to accessorize with scarfs, hats, cute coats, blazers, jackets, jewelry etc.
Men and boys, avoid white or distracting socks.
Wear shoes that are appropriate for the environment that we will be shooting in.
Stylize the children’s hair so that it is not falling in their eyes.
All of these tips really help especially if you love candid lifestyle images where movement is involved.
